“ This Filipino restaurant exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine hospitality, making us feel like family. The food was nothing short of spectacular--the sinigang had the perfect balance of sour and savory, and the halo-halo was the perfect way to end our meal. Each dish was cooked with love, reminding me of home-cooked Filipino meals. The ambiance was inviting, with soft lighting and traditional elements that created a warm and relaxing atmosphere. If you haven't tried Filipino cuisine before, this is the perfect place to start! ”
“ I overheard that this place will be closing, if not already closed. We pre-ordered some food for Christmas Day 2024, and when I got there to pick them up, our order was not ready so I sat and waited for it. While sitting there waiting I overheard the son of the owner talking about the restaurant not for him, and that he's not sure yet what's going to happen. It sounded like they have already taken inventory of their equipment and others so they would be ready for anything. But bottom line is, the place might be closing. It is a shame though cuz I love their food. If they continue on, I definitely recommend this place ”
“ The food here is genuine and delicious. I love the kare-kare, pinakbet, Laing. I will try the Krispy pata next ”
“ It was delish food. Ambiance was meh, but don't expect too much with Chinese food. Just good old Hong Kong style food. I'd def go again. ”
“ You know when you crave something but you don't wanna make it cuz it takes soo much time? And also you want it now?!!! There is not a lot of Filipino restaurants here in Sac like the bay. Womp womp... We have been in Sac for a minute and have always been searching for a good Pinoy spot. honestly, there is not a lot but we found South Villa and we are happy. Came here literally 1 minute after they open and you can tell this place gets a LOT of party pick up orders. We ordered Kare Kare- BOMB! Laing, amazing!!! Lechon kawali was not the best. It was chewy and was thinly sliced already. I'm used to the thick and crunchy, juicy goodness. i think it was air fried but needed a little more time. Ambiance is typical Chinese/filipino restaurant with a touch of aloha. Would love to try this place again. Masarap! I was legit happy and satisfied my craving!! ”
“ I highly recommend this Authentic Filipino-Chinese Restaurant. The Pancit Bihon is truly fresh and delicious and it reminds me of my Grandma's Pancit. Every bite brings back wonderful memories of home and family gatherings. ”
“ One restaurant where I can get all my favorite Chinese AND Filipino dishes?!? Heck yeah, thazzz what I'm talkin' bout! South Villa Restaurant is the real deal. They serve up very flavorful, home-cooked-like options. Today I was given the opportunity to enjoy a yummy luncheon with my family to celebrate August birthdays. Everything I ate was sooooo tasty from Pancit, Bulalo (beef broth soup), honey walnut prawns, sautéed vegetables, crispy sweet n' sour beef, Kare-Kare and more. There wasn't a dish I didn't like, yep it was that good. Service was great, this family owned restaurant feels very "home-y", such cozy ambiance. Our server Kevin was super attentive and provided great service. His family owns the restaurant and you can taste the the love in all the food they offer. Heads up, they offer catering so keep them in mind for future family parties! I'm excited for my next visit here! ”
